Program Outline/Rationale:
   Dear teachers and school leaders, The Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) in partnership with the Catholic Diocese of Ballarat will deliver a best practice information session on the Progressive Achievement (PAT) tests and the Online Assessment and Reporting System (OARS) platform in preparation for your schools PAT testing period. This 1 hour session, scheduled for Tuesday 19 September at 10am, will focus on new OARS developments, giving you the confidence to navigate the platform and where to reference key information before and after students complete their assessments. Topics will include: • Student page functionality; what’s new and a refresher on how to orientate the OARS platform • Help menu; where to reference instructions, video demonstrations and resources • Improvements to accessibility; how OARS caters for accessibility for staff • Generating and interpreting reports; including the new longitudinal reporting feature • Norm update; what does this mean for this round of PAT testing • PAT Reading and Maths achievement band descriptors; overview Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation.
